The battle between X Factor Finalists KZ, Gab & Daddy’s Home has finally come to an end! Last night was the most heartbreaking yet exciting night for everyone including the viewers, the host, crew, judges and most of all, the contestants. Before the announcement of X Factor Philippines’ first grand winner, there were some unforgettable things that happened last night! KC Concepcion (host), shares her talent singing Nicole Scherzinger’s song “Wet” to start off the show. It was a very sexy and upbeat dance number. The ABS-CBN Champions’ Erik Santos, Jovit Baldivino, Jed Madela and Angeline Quinto also performed with the Final 3 singing the hits “On My Own” by Whitney Houston, “This Is My Now” by Jordin Sparks, “Win” by Brian McKnight, and Miley Cyrus’ “The Climb”.
After the spectacular performance of the Champions with the Final 3, comedians Pooh, K Brosas, and singer April Boy brought happiness to everyone with their funny performance with X Factor’s very own Osang, Mang Modesto and Kedebon Colim. X Factor PH Top 5 also performed with Yeng Constantino singing RRJ‘s theme “Live Your Style”. Followed by X Factor Top 12’s performance singing “Star Ng Pasko”. Bringing the Christmas spirit last night!
Not only did the Final 3, the Champions, the comedians, the Top 12 perform on stage, the X Factor Judges/Mentors also performed on The X Factor stage for the first time! It was the international star Charice who first performed singing her Billboard hit “Pyramid”, followed by Gary Valenciano, Martin Nievera and Ms. Pilita Corales. Moreover, The X Factor Final 3 also performed with their mentors who guided them and taught them a lot of things throughout the show. KZ sang with her mentor Charice performing ‘The Way You Look Tonight’, followed by Daddy’s Home with Gary Valenciano singing ‘Man In The Mirror’, and last but the least, Gab Maturan with his ‘daddy’, Martin Nievera.
After all the performances, the voting lines were closed and the people’s decision were finally tabulated. KC announced Daddy’s Home as the 3rd Placer with P50,000, followed by Gab as the 2nd Placer with P100,000. And the first grand winner of The X Factor Philippines is “KZ TANDINGAN” of Digos, Davao Del Sur who received 4Million Pesos + recording contract from Star Music. KZ was so grateful for being The X Factor Philippines’ first grand winner. “Lord God, maraming salamat po sa lahat” said Tandingan while receiving her prize of 4 Million Pesos. Tandingan also added that part of her win will be donated to their Church in Digos for repair. After the announcement, KZ then sing her own rendition of The Carpenters’ “Superstar”. KZ was also thankful for being mentored by Charice, who helped her with her singing from start to finish. Charice said that every elimination night, she can’t help but cry. But last night she was stable & fine with whatever the judgement for KZ will be. Cause for her, KZ is already a winner. She did a lot of help for her team, not to mention, doing demo’s for her girls just to make their every performance better.
